Amber Gentry has served as Synovim’s Executive Director since April 2016. Though new to Synovim, Amber brings with her 15 years of information technology experience and a diverse range of capabilities, including strategic planning, business development, network and physical security, disaster recovery and business continuity. She holds her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
As a former security consultant for the Midwest regions, Amber worked with healthcare practices and their providers to establish best practices in protecting the integrity of health information data. Her professional experience also includes electronic health software and hardware deployments for critical access hospitals, specialty clinics and hospitals of all sizes. In addition, she has collaborated with several statewide health-focused organizations, including the Kansas Hospital Association (KHA), Kansas Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (KHIMSS), Kansas Medical Group Management Association (KMGMA) and Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) of Greater Kansas City.
In her free time she enjoys family and friends, yoga, golf, travel, and standup paddle boarding. She is a proud resident of Topeka, Kansas where she and her fiancé reside in Historic Collins Park
